The Big Five Marathon in South Africa is held among the wildlife of the African Savannah. The 42.2km run goes right through the habitat of the most famous African game: Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard.
No fences, no rivers, nothing to separate the runners from the African wildlife.
Located in South Africa's northern Limpopo province, close to Botswana, the marathon route provides spectacular scenery in the Entabeni Private Game Reserve.
